Kaitlyn Crain - Top Ten
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
I believed all Disney princesses were real and all fairy tales were true. I believed Cinderella rode in a pumpkin carriage, pixie dust could make me fly, and that Jasmine flew on a magic carpet. Although I grew out of that belief, my obsession for disney still remains and just like Jasmine, I live with the motto that believing in yourself can open up a whole new world.
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
I wish I was a strong vocalist. Although the Lord blessed me with a voice, it is not one for singing publicly. That doesn't stop me from having the best living room concerts with my 7 year old brother, singing his favorite song Super Bass.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
Laradius Stepehens, my highschool vice principal, has been my biggest supporter. My junior year she called me into her office and asked if I had ever considered competing in a pageant. My quick response was “no” “never”. It was the farthest thing from my mind. It was because of many conversations with her, words of wisdom, and encouragement that made me enter my first pageant and place in the top ten. Today I am not the same person I was when I started my pageant journey. I know who I am, I am confident, and I believe in sharing my platform and this message to others. I owe this all to Lardius Stephens.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
My mom took our Halloween costumes very seriously. When I was six our family dressed up as The Incredibles. My dad was Mr. Incredible, my mom was Mrs Incredible, and I was Violet.
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus will hands-down always be one of my favorite songs. In kindergarten I got to perform a dance to this song in a fluffy yellow dress and I can still remember all of the choreography even today.
