Faith Wilhite - 2nd Runner-Up
1.If you could make one rule that everyone in the world had to follow, what would it be?
I used to think that the tooth fairy was real, and I couldn’t wait to lose my baby teeth so I could get money. I would try to stay awake at night after putting the tooth under my pillow so I could see her, but that never worked out. Little did I know it was my parents hiding the cash under my pillow!
2.If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
It would be so cool if I were a gymnast - balancing on the beam while flipping is so impressive! Being a trained ballet and tap dancer, I have really good endurance and balance; but, trying to do my dance moves 4 feet off the ground would be very intimidating. I have a lot of admiration for the gymnasts.
3.When do you feel a child or teen becomes an adult?
I am very fortunate to have a wonderful support system. Since I was six years old, Mrs. Bernée Thurow, has always been so encouraging and helped give advice when needed. She is very generous with her time and talent and always goes the extra mile to help me out. She is wise and honest and she motivates me to be my best self.
4.What do you feel you have learned in life that will be the most useful?
For a costume party I would dress up as an angel with really big wings and a giant halo headband. I would personally design it and make sure my dress was covered with rhinestones and sequins because a girl can never have too much sparkle!
5.What do you feel is the hardest job in the world and why?
One of my favorite songs is “I just need U” by Toby Mac since it is an inspirational Christian song. This song is one that we played on our road trips to the national pageants. It always brings back fun memories of those trips and makes me want to dance and sing along.
